Description

A growing and dynamic organization based in Dubai/Sharjah is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and technically proficient Junior Accountant to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for accounting professionals with 2–5 years of experience who are looking to grow within a supportive, collaborative workplace while contributing meaningfully to the organization's financial operations.

In this role, you will handle a wide range of core accounting responsibilities — from bookkeeping and ledger management to VAT compliance and audit support. The ideal candidate brings a strong grasp of UAE accounting practices, hands-on software experience, and the ability to work accurately under deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain general ledger records and carry out day-to-day bookkeeping with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Manage accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and perform monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other key financial documents.
  • Support VAT return preparation and ensure ongoing compliance with UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) requirements.
  • Process expense claims, verify supplier invoices, and manage vendor payments in a timely and organized manner.
  • Assist senior management and external auditors by providing accurate financial documentation, supporting schedules, and reconciliations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
  • 2–5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably within the UAE market.
  • Strong proficiency in one or more accounting software platforms such as QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Tally, or SAP.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and financial spreadsheet management.
  • Solid understanding of UAE VAT regulations and IFRS accounting standards.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
