Description
The Data Privacy Senior Manager leads the bank’s privacy governance programme and supports compliance with applicable data protection requirements. The role develops frameworks, policies and operating procedures, oversees privacy risk and assurance, and provides senior stakeholders with confidence that personal information is handled appropriately.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the privacy governance pillar and maintain an effective enterprise privacy framework.
- Develop and review data protection policies, standards, procedures and records of processing activities.
- Oversee privacy risk assessments and monitor compliance across business processes and technology environments.
- Advise stakeholders on privacy obligations and practical controls throughout the personal data lifecycle.
- Coordinate assurance activity and report privacy performance, gaps and remediation to senior management.
- Support responses to regulatory, audit and governance requests relating to personal data protection.
- Promote awareness and consistent privacy practices across business units and relevant third parties.
Requirements and Qualifications
The role requires senior-level privacy governance, data protection or compliance experience. Knowledge of the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021, and relevant CBUAE Consumer Protection Regulations and Standards is important. Candidates should be able to advise executives and work across legal, technology and business teams.
