Officer – Procurement

The Officer - Procurement processes and manages material purchase requisitions and purchase orders so project teams receive compliant items at the right time and on commercially sound terms. The role emphasizes specification accuracy, supplier follow-up, project cost control and coordination with technical, planning, factory and stores teams. Timely purchasing helps protect project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions and orders, aiming to issue approved orders to suppliers within the required three-to-four-working-day window.
• Obtain competitive prices and payment terms while ensuring materials meet specified standards and project delivery requirements.
• Maintain complete project-wise and item-wise purchasing records, material cost-control sheets and monthly savings reports.
• Compare actual material costs and quantities with approved budgets, investigate variances and obtain required explanations or approvals.
• Coordinate specifications and delivery needs with technical, planning, factory and stores teams; follow suppliers on delays, shortages, defects and sourcing alternatives.

Requirements and Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree is required. Candidates should have 2–4 years of relevant experience in aluminium and glass or purchasing. Technical knowledge of international façade systems and their components is important, together with an understanding of basic contractual issues and awareness of local and international procurement sources.

Skills and Competencies

• Purchase requisition and purchase-order processing.
• Supplier sourcing, negotiation and delivery follow-up.
• Project cost control, budget comparison and savings reporting.
• Understanding of technical specifications and façade-system components.

Check every request for complete descriptions, quantities, delivery requirements and approvals before placing an order.
