Senior Web Printer

The Senior Web Printer helps lead stable production on web-printing equipment while maintaining print quality and equipment reliability. The role includes monitoring register, colour and paper alignment, adjusting print settings, managing ink and dampening balance, and carrying out scheduled maintenance. The senior operator is expected to identify recurring process problems, maintain clear records, and support the wider production team in reducing defects, waste, and avoidable downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor print quality throughout the production run, maintaining consistent colour density, registration, paper alignment, and image clarity.
• Adjust ink flow, tension, and press settings to control defects and keep output within production requirements.
• Maintain the correct ink-water balance and adjust dampening systems to reduce scumming, toning, and emulsification.
• Perform routine maintenance such as roller cleaning, blanket replacement, lubrication, and inspection of press components.
• Keep maintenance and production logs, flag recurring faults, and coordinate repair needs with technical colleagues.
• Support operators with process guidance, careful changeovers, and consistent adherence to safety and quality procedures.

Requirements

• Practical experience operating web-printing or comparable industrial printing equipment.
• Good understanding of print registration, colour consistency, ink-water balance, and common press defects.
• Ability to carry out routine maintenance and recognise mechanical or process abnormalities.
• Comfort supporting production deadlines while keeping accurate records and following safe work instructions.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong visual inspection, technical judgement, and systematic fault-finding.
• Good planning and communication during production runs and equipment maintenance.
• Attention to detail and a practical approach to reducing waste and rework.
• Ability to support colleagues and maintain consistent quality standards across shifts.

Employment Details

This is a full-time role based in Dubai within a production environment. The work may follow shift schedules and changing print-run requirements. The successful candidate should combine hands-on press knowledge with careful quality monitoring and preventative equipment care.
