QC Inspector

NOV is looking for a QC Inspector to support coating quality activities at its Abu Dhabi operations. The position focuses on checking coated components, verifying that inspection results meet work instructions and customer specifications, and working with production teams to address quality concerns before products move to the next stage.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out visual, dimensional and applicable non-destructive inspections of coated parts in accordance with approved procedures.
• Check coating thickness, adhesion and surface finish using suitable calibrated instruments and gauges.
• Record inspection findings, prepare reports and update non-conformance information in the quality system.
• Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions when defects or recurring issues are identified.
• Review drawings, work orders, inspection criteria and client requirements before beginning checks.
• Maintain inspection tools and calibration records, assist with audits and communicate quality feedback to production staff.
• Identify coating-related hazards and maintain safe, clean work practices throughout inspection activities.

Requirements and Qualifications

Candidates should hold a technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or a related discipline and have approximately 2–3 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing or coating environments. Practical knowledge of micrometers, coating-thickness gauges, ultrasonic testers or similar inspection equipment is important. Applicants should understand coating processes and quality specifications and be comfortable reading engineering drawings and technical documents.

Skills and Employment Details

Attention to detail, critical thinking, accurate recordkeeping, teamwork and effective English communication are required. Familiarity with ISO 9001 or API-related quality requirements is an advantage. This is a full-time position in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Compensation has not been stated.
