CNC Machine Operator (Entry Level)

NOV is offering an entry-level CNC Machine Operator opportunity in a manufacturing environment producing stators and rotors for oilfield directional-drilling applications. The role is suitable for a practical candidate who can follow detailed instructions, work carefully around machinery and learn production processes. Training and day-to-day guidance will be provided through established work procedures and supervision appropriate to the task.

Key Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing of stators and rotors and follow the approved sequence of production operations.
• Read work instructions and drawings, complete operator checklists and capture required process measurements.
• Check parts before starting work, report doubts or abnormalities and ensure quality checks are completed at each stage.
• Maintain tools, gauges and equipment, and keep checklists, routing documents and system records up to date.
• Handle materials safely and use overhead lifting equipment only after appropriate training and authorisation.
• Follow job-hazard assessments, health and safety rules, chemical-handling instructions and 5S housekeeping practices.
• Raise observations about risks, product defects, equipment problems or possible process improvements.
• Assist maintenance technicians when needed and complete other reasonable tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements and Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent, basic mathematics and the ability to understand written instructions are required. Candidates should be comfortable using basic measuring tools and should demonstrate mechanical aptitude. Familiarity with pneumatic, hydraulic or basic electrical systems, manufacturing power tools and technical drawings is helpful, but the job is identified as entry level.
