Transport Operations Executive (Truck)

The Transport Operations Executive coordinates truck movements and day-to-day transport activities to support on-time collection and delivery. The role involves driver coordination, route and schedule follow-up, documentation, customer updates and resolution of operational exceptions. Strong attention to timing, vehicle availability and accurate trip records helps maintain service quality, control costs and keep transport operations running safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily truck assignments, route plans, loading schedules and delivery priorities with dispatch and field teams.
• Track vehicle and driver status, follow up on delays and communicate revised arrival estimates when necessary.
• Check trip documents, delivery confirmations, permits or other required records for completeness and accuracy.
• Coordinate with customers, drivers, warehouse staff and subcontractors to resolve route, loading or delivery issues.
• Maintain movement records, report service performance and escalate safety, compliance or cost concerns.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Have experience in transport coordination, trucking, fleet operations, dispatch or logistics administration.
• Be comfortable using spreadsheets, transport systems, GPS or similar tools to track daily movements.
• Demonstrate strong communication, planning and problem-solving under time-sensitive conditions.
• Understand the importance of driver safety, vehicle compliance, accurate paperwork and timely escalation.
