Manager, Warehouse

The Warehouse Manager oversees day-to-day warehouse execution, balancing safety, inventory accuracy, productivity and service levels. The position involves planning labour and workflows, tracking performance metrics, addressing process waste and developing team capability. A strong candidate can manage high-volume activity, use evidence to improve performance and maintain consistent standards during changing demand or shift conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan warehouse activities, labour allocation and daily priorities according to inbound, storage, picking and dispatch needs.
• Monitor productivity, inventory accuracy, order turnaround, quality and safety metrics, taking action on recurring gaps.
• Lead and develop supervisors and team members through clear expectations, coaching and performance feedback.
• Use process-improvement methods to reduce waste, improve flow and strengthen consistency across shifts.
• Coordinate with transport, inventory, customer operations and planning teams to resolve capacity or service issues.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Have direct experience leading warehouse, fulfilment, logistics or another high-volume operational environment.
• Demonstrate experience with performance metrics, process improvement or methods such as Lean, Kaizen or Six Sigma.
• Be comfortable managing employee performance and working flexible schedules, including weekends or overnight shifts when required.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, inventory controls, standard procedures and service commitments.

Employment Details

The position requires an active presence on the floor, effective shift handovers and timely escalation of equipment, staffing or inventory issues.
