The Vice President – Risk Analytics provides analytical leadership to support effective credit and portfolio risk decisions. The role develops insights, models, monitoring frameworks, and management reporting to help identify emerging risks, assess portfolio performance, and support sound risk governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead analysis of portfolio quality, risk trends, exposures, and key performance indicators.
- Develop or oversee analytical models, segmentation, monitoring tools, and scenario analysis.
- Translate complex findings into clear recommendations for risk leadership and business stakeholders.
- Work with risk, finance, data, technology, and business teams to improve data quality and analytical capability.
- Support risk appetite monitoring, portfolio reviews, stress testing, and governance reporting as applicable.
- Challenge assumptions, assess model limitations, and promote robust validation and documentation.
- Identify emerging risk patterns and recommend practical mitigation or policy improvements.
Requirements and Qualifications
Substantial experience in risk analytics, credit risk, portfolio modelling, or quantitative financial analysis is relevant. Strong statistical and analytical skills, familiarity with data tools, and the ability to communicate findings to senior stakeholders are important. Knowledge of banking risk frameworks, model governance, portfolio monitoring, and regulatory expectations is advantageous.
