VICE PRESIDENT – MARKET ACCESS

Lead the development of a scalable market access and trading capability across multiple categories and geographies. This executive position combines commercial strategy, sourcing, procurement, commodity trading, distribution and fulfilment to create new revenue streams and strengthen customer value. The successful leader will build the operating model, establish supplier and buyer ecosystems, shape go-to-market propositions and take full ownership of financial performance. The role also requires strong governance across international trade, procurement ethics and risk controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and commercialise market access products covering sourcing, procurement, commodity buying and selling, and distribution solutions.
• Develop B2B and back-to-back trading models that can generate sustainable revenue across selected markets and categories.
• Build strategic relationships with suppliers, buyers, distributors and other commercial partners.
• Set pricing, route-to-market and trading strategies using market intelligence and regional dynamics.
• Own budgets, working capital, investment decisions, margins and returns across the market access portfolio.
• Build the function through recruitment, capability development, operating processes and performance standards.
• Establish risk frameworks covering financial, operational, geopolitical and trade-compliance exposures.
• Create transparent controls, audit mechanisms and reporting that support ethical and compliant commercial activity.
• Work with supply chain and logistics teams to improve speed, efficiency, fulfilment and customer experience.
• Represent the function with senior stakeholders and lead a culture focused on growth, accountability and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, supply chain, finance or a related discipline.
• Extensive senior leadership experience in commercial strategy, trading, procurement, market development or a comparable field.
• Demonstrated ability to create new revenue streams and build businesses across multiple markets.
• Strong understanding of international trade, sourcing, pricing, working capital and commercial risk.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, financial and stakeholder-management skills.
