Description
The Technology Engineer works within the Network, Datacenter and Security division and supports the engineering lifecycle of infrastructure technologies used across the bank’s data centres and locations. The role covers enterprise network security, data and voice networks, telecommunications links and data-centre facilities. The engineer is expected to design, configure and maintain network infrastructure while protecting connectivity and resolving incidents that affect service availability. The infrastructure environment includes network security, switching and routing, voice infrastructure, telecom links, data centres, server rooms and IDF facilities. The successful engineer should work methodically, document changes and maintain secure configurations across the supported network estate.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and configure enterprise LAN and WAN network infrastructure.
- Configure routers and switches for new implementations and existing locations.
- Troubleshoot network incidents, identify root causes and restore service as required.
- Apply routing protocols and network connectivity concepts in practical infrastructure environments.
- Implement and maintain network security controls, including IPSec, access control lists and protocol authentication.
- Configure and support Aruba Wi-Fi, network access control and Cisco ISE or TACACS-related services.
- Upgrade network switches, address vulnerabilities and maintain technical design and process documentation.
Qualifications and Requirements
- UAE National status is an explicit eligibility condition.
- Work experience in network routing, switching and enterprise network administration is required; a specific degree is not stated.
- Experience with Aruba Wi-Fi implementation, NAC using CPPM and Cisco ISE/TACACS is specified.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong network architecture and troubleshooting knowledge.
- Understanding of security, data protection and network protocols.
- Automation, Silver Peak WAN optimisation, cloud networking or Cisco ACI knowledge is advantageous.
