TECHNICIAN – WELDING

Job Overview

DP World is seeking a Welding Technician in Dubai to perform welding, fabrication and technical maintenance activities while maintaining required safety and quality standards. The role supports reliable operation and maintenance of port and industrial assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out welding, fabrication, repair and maintenance activities on assigned equipment and structures.
• Interpret technical drawings, work instructions and welding requirements.
• Inspect completed work and ensure weld quality meets applicable standards.
• Use welding machines, hand tools and related workshop equipment safely.
• Identify defects, wear and maintenance requirements and report them promptly.
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in safe operating condition.
• Follow permit-to-work, PPE, HSE and quality procedures.

Requirements

• Relevant welding or fabrication qualification/certification.
• Practical welding and industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to work safely in workshop, port or industrial environments.
• Knowledge of welding processes, tools and basic fabrication practices.
