Technician – Electrical

The Technician - Electrical supports the safe operation of electrical systems in managed buildings and facilities. The position covers routine inspections, preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, repairs, and verification of electrical accessories and distribution equipment. The technician responds to maintenance requests, identifies defects before they create larger service interruptions, and keeps accurate work records. The role requires disciplined safety practices and a practical, customer-aware approach while working in active buildings.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect electrical installations and carry out scheduled preventive maintenance according to work orders and site procedures.
• Troubleshoot faults affecting lighting circuits, power outlets, switches, distribution boards, isolators, and associated building systems.
• Conduct permitted testing after repairs and confirm that equipment is safe and operating as intended.
• Report damaged components, repeated breakdowns, unusual readings, and any condition that may create a safety hazard.
• Coordinate required materials and access with the supervisor and record the work completed in the maintenance system.
• Maintain tools, work areas, and electrical rooms in a clean and orderly condition.

Requirements

• Hold a relevant electrical trade qualification or equivalent practical training.
• Have hands-on experience in electrical installation, inspection, maintenance, and fault resolution.
• Understand electrical safety, safe isolation, and the correct use of testing equipment.
• Be able to respond professionally to service requests and cooperate with other facilities teams.
