SR. TECHNICIAN (FIRE TRAINING)

Deliver and maintain fire, rescue and emergency-response training for fire-division staff and personnel from other departments. The role helps ensure that team members are competent against relevant codes and standards and also supports inspections, testing and maintenance of fixed and mobile fire-protection assets.

The role requires collaboration across relevant teams, accurate documentation and early escalation of risks that may affect safety, quality or delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver practical and classroom training for firefighting, rescue and emergency-response activities.
• Assess trainee competence, provide coaching and keep training and attendance records up to date.
• Help maintain training plans, exercises and development programmes aligned with relevant standards.
• Support inspection, testing and maintenance of fixed and mobile fire-prevention and response assets.
• Coordinate training services with internal stakeholders and joint-venture or operational teams as required.

Requirements and Experience

• At least eight years as a firefighter in commercial, industrial, civil-defence or military service is required.
• Experience delivering or supporting fire-instructor training and using modern firefighting and rescue equipment is important.
• Applicants should have the communication skills needed to instruct and assess personnel safely.

Qualifications

Secondary school education; Fire Instructor or equivalent qualification; intermediate English
