Description
The Bedaya graduate programme is designed for UAE National Computer Science graduates who want to begin a technology career in banking. The programme combines classroom learning with practical, on-the-job experience and provides exposure to engineering teams supporting the bank’s digital and banking platforms. After successful completion, participants may move into a permanent position aligned with their skills, experience and career interests. Potential areas include retail or corporate banking technology, the Digital Office, Agile teams, Advanced Analytics and digital banking services. The programme is intended to build capability through guided development rather than requiring applicants to arrive with extensive professional experience. Candidates should be ready to learn, practise new technical concepts and work with colleagues from different technology and banking teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend structured technical training and apply the learning to practical software engineering assignments.
- Develop coding knowledge in Java, Spring Boot and Node.js, including the creation of scalable RESTful services.
- Learn SOLID principles, event-driven architecture, MongoDB, Spring Cloud and Hibernate in application development.
- Explore cloud design patterns and understand how they are implemented in modern banking technology environments.
- Practise CI/CD principles and support reliable build, testing and deployment activities.
- Investigate issues in distributed services and learn techniques for troubleshooting, resilience and production monitoring.
- Gain exposure to API gateway integration, containerisation, Docker, Kubernetes and GraphQL.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Fresh-graduate status in Computer Science is the stated target profile.
- A strong interest in software engineering, coding and practical technology problem-solving is important.
- No minimum number of years of professional experience is specified for this graduate opportunity.
