Senior Staff Nurse – OPD

American Hospital Dubai is seeking a Senior Staff Nurse for its outpatient services. The role manages the clinical aspects of the clinic, supporting safe patient flow, coordinated care and compliance with hospital procedures. The nurse will provide age-specific patient-centered care, supervise and support nursing activities, maintain clinical documentation, monitor quality indicators and coordinate with physicians, patients, insurance teams and other departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients using appropriate age-specific and problem-focused nursing assessment techniques.
• Plan, coordinate and prioritize patient care according to individual clinical needs.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and ensure appropriate communication between patients, families, nurses and physicians.
• Support safe medication administration, including controlled and semi-controlled medications, according to hospital policy.
• Coordinate patient flow, transfers, procedures, appointments, insurance approvals and follow-up requirements.
• Support staff competency, mandatory education, life-support training and service-specific clinical standards.
• Monitor clinic KPIs, quality checklists, incident reports, complaints and continuous quality improvement activities.
• Assist with stock management and ensure appropriate availability of clinical supplies and equipment.
• Participate in staff meetings, committees, audits and departmental projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or an accepted nursing qualification and registration pathway.
• Valid professional license/registration in the home country or applicable country of employment.
• Valid BLS/BCLS certification as required.
• Three to five years of recent post-graduate nursing experience.
• Previous Team Leader or Senior Registered Nurse experience is an advantage.
• Strong patient assessment, care coordination and communication skills.
