Clinical Psychologist

American Hospital Dubai is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to provide psychological assessment and evidence-based clinical interventions for individuals or groups. The role includes structured assessment, formulation, treatment planning, progress monitoring and collaboration with other healthcare professionals. The psychologist will maintain professional and ethical standards, protect patient confidentiality and contribute to ongoing clinical education and departmental development.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct structured interviews, psychological assessments and clinical observations.
• Identify and formulate psychological, emotional and behavioral concerns using recognized professional approaches.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions.
• Monitor patient progress through regular sessions and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals when coordinated care is required.
• Assess clinical risk and consider relevant psychological and social needs during intervention planning.
• Maintain accurate, secure and confidential clinical records in accordance with hospital policies.
• Use appropriate therapeutic methods within professional competence and scope of practice.
• Participate in training, seminars, continuing education and mentoring of students or junior staff where appropriate.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Psychology.
• Master's Degree of at least two years in Psychology or a relevant Psychology focus, with the required bachelor's duration.
• Minimum two years of experience as a Clinical Psychologist.
• Experience with psychological assessment and treatment across a range of mental health presentations.
• Strong clinical documentation and verbal/written communication skills.
