Physical Therapist

American Hospital Dubai is seeking a Physical Therapist to provide direct patient care and individualized physiotherapy services. The role includes assessment and reassessment, goal setting, treatment planning and delivery of therapeutic interventions designed to improve mobility, reduce pain, restore function and prevent disability. The therapist will work with physicians and multidisciplinary teams while maintaining safe clinical practices and equipment standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and reassessments and establish appropriate treatment goals and care plans.
• Deliver physiotherapy interventions based on clinical needs, physician recommendations and approved departmental procedures.
• Use therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, TENS, ultrasound, gait training, traction and heat/cold therapy as appropriate.
• Provide patient and caregiver education to support safe recovery and ongoing physical wellness.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech pathologists and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide clinical support to junior therapists, assistants and students when required.
• Maintain accurate documentation and report patient-care incidents or service concerns through established channels.
• Check the safety, availability and condition of physiotherapy equipment and supplies.
• Participate in departmental meetings, quality activities and professional development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree of Science in Physiotherapy or Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy.
• Current professional license in the country of origin or DHA license in the UAE.
• Minimum two years of post-certification experience as a Junior Physiotherapist/Physical Therapist.
• Strong patient-care, clinical reasoning and communication skills.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
