Description
Dubai Islamic Bank is seeking a Senior Officer - Operational Control Test Reporting & Training to coordinate reporting and learning activities connected with operational control self-testing. The role helps ensure that completed control testing and monitoring results are recorded and shared with the relevant process owners on time. It also develops practical training material and supports periodic training for business units covered by the operational control framework. This vacancy is intended for Emirati talent and is based in Dubai, UAE.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the Operational Controls Monitoring Team to obtain current updates on scheduled self-control testing and monitoring across relevant business units.
- Prepare and publish test-result reports after monitoring is completed, share them with the appropriate process owners and update the related records.
- Develop clear, comprehensive training material that meets the required quality standards for business units and process owners.
- Work with Human Resources to prepare training plans in line with management guidance and approved policies and processes.
- Arrange and support periodic training so relevant teams understand how to perform operational control self-testing activities.
- Prepare accurate management information (MIS) covering completed activities and assigned projects, and provide periodic updates to management.
- Provide full backup to the Operational Control Test Monitoring Team Leader when required.
- Identify operational control weaknesses, suggest improvements and help communicate issues and proposed solutions to relevant stakeholders.
Requirements and Qualifications
A university degree or bachelor's degree is required. An MBA in management or accounting is considered an advantage, and internationally recognised job-related certifications are preferred. The stated experience requirement is three to four years in banking at a senior level, preferably in banking operations, audit, internal controls or risk management within a centralised environment.
Skills and Competencies
The role requires sound judgement, accurate reporting, clear communication, training coordination and the ability to assess controls, improve processes and work across departments.
