Pediatric Rheumatologist

American Hospital Dubai is seeking a Pediatric Rheumatologist to provide specialist medical care for children with rheumatic, inflammatory and autoimmune conditions. The physician will assess complex pediatric cases, develop individualized management plans and work with families and multidisciplinary clinical teams. The role is suited to a specialist who can combine evidence-based medicine with compassionate, family-centered communication and coordinated long-term care.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate children presenting with rheumatic, inflammatory and autoimmune conditions.
• Perform detailed clinical assessments and establish appropriate diagnoses and differential diagnoses.
• Develop individualized treatment and follow-up plans based on clinical findings and accepted standards of care.
• Monitor response to treatment and adjust management as the patient's condition evolves.
• Communicate diagnoses, treatment options, expected outcomes and follow-up requirements clearly to children and their families.
• Collaborate with pediatricians, nurses, allied health professionals and other specialists to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support patient-safety and quality initiatives.
• Participate in professional education and contribute to a collaborative specialist environment.

Requirements

• UK CCT or American Board certification in the relevant specialty is mandatory.
• Relevant subspecialty training and experience in Pediatric Rheumatology.
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
• Commitment to multidisciplinary and family-centered pediatric care.
