NDT Inspector (Oil and Gas)

NOV is seeking an NDT Inspector in Abu Dhabi for pipeline installation, inspection and related oil and gas field activities. The position supports quality assurance by inspecting welding, coating and installation work and verifying compliance with approved procedures, project specifications, applicable standards and safety requirements. The role requires practical knowledge of welding and coating systems, site inspection practices and non-destructive examination methods.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site inspection of pipeline installation, maintenance and repair activities.
• Monitor welding activities and verify compliance with approved welding procedures and specifications.
• Conduct or support visual, dimensional and applicable NDT inspections in accordance with approved requirements.
• Inspect coating activities, including surface preparation, coating application and final coating condition.
• Review inspection records and identify non-conformities requiring corrective action.
• Verify that installation work meets project specifications, quality requirements and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with site teams, vendors and quality personnel to resolve inspection issues.
• Maintain accurate inspection reports, records and supporting documentation.
• Support customer and project quality requirements and participate in relevant inspections or audits.
• Follow NOV HSE policies and maintain safe inspection practices at all times.

Requirements

• Relevant technical or inspection qualification with experience in oil and gas inspection.
• Practical knowledge of welding, coating systems and pipeline installation.
• Knowledge of NDT methods and quality-control requirements.
• Experience working on oil and gas projects or field inspection activities.
• Strong understanding of drawings, specifications and inspection documentation.
• Good communication, reporting and coordination skills.
