Midwife

FakeehCare is seeking a Midwife in Dubai to provide comprehensive, evidence-based maternity and midwifery care across labor, delivery, postpartum support and newborn care. The role involves direct patient care, clinical documentation, preparation for deliveries, emergency support and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams while maintaining professional standards and patient dignity.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate midwifery care according to professional standards and individual patient needs.
• Support women throughout labor and delivery and provide safe, compassionate care during routine and complex situations.
• Assist with emergency and elective procedures, including emergency Caesarean sections.
• Provide immediate care to newborns after birth and support postpartum care, including breastfeeding.
• Monitor patient conditions, document assessments and report significant changes promptly.
• Prepare delivery rooms, sterile instruments, equipment and supplies and ensure safe readiness for procedures.
• Use CTG monitoring, phlebotomy and IV cannulation when trained and authorized within scope.
• Maintain accurate electronic clinical records and coordinate discharge arrangements with relevant teams.
• Educate patients and families about health, safety, recovery and newborn care.
• Follow infection-control, medication-safety and professional ethical requirements.
• Support students and less experienced staff when delegated and contribute to quality-improvement activities.

Requirements

• Minimum two years of experience working as a midwife.
• Diploma in Midwifery.
• Professional licence from the country of origin and applicable regional health authority, such as DHA.
• BLS, ACLS and other relevant training as applicable.
• Strong teamwork, critical thinking, communication and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work shifts and maintain high standards in a 24/7 maternity environment.
