MEP Manager

The MEP Manager leads mechanical, electrical and plumbing work on infrastructure projects in Dubai. The role covers utility networks, street lighting, pumping stations, drainage, sewerage, water networks and other related systems. It coordinates design and construction interfaces, manages subcontractors and ensures MEP work is delivered in line with project schedules, budgets and technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee MEP activities across infrastructure projects and work packages.
• Coordinate MEP activities with construction, engineering, client and consultant teams.
• Review drawings, technical submittals, method statements and project specifications.
• Monitor progress and ensure activities are completed within agreed time and budget targets.
• Manage subcontractors and site teams and coordinate with utility authorities.
• Ensure compliance with project quality, safety and technical requirements.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• The role summary specifies at least 15 years of experience in infrastructure projects; detailed criteria also refer to 20 years.
• Have experience with roads, bridges, utilities, pumping stations, street lighting, drainage, sewerage and water networks.
• Have strong knowledge of construction practices, project management and authority requirements.
• UAE or GCC infrastructure experience and a valid UAE driving licence are preferred or required as stated.

Skills and Competencies

The position requires senior MEP leadership, infrastructure-system knowledge and strong project coordination. The manager should be capable of reviewing technical documents, directing subcontractors and resolving interfaces with authorities and other disciplines. Communication, planning and a firm focus on quality and safety are essential.
