Lab Engineer- Computer and Information Engineering- UAE National

Job Overview

The Lab Engineer will support the safe and effective operation of teaching and research laboratories in Khalifa University's Department of Computer and Information Engineering. The role works closely with faculty and students in areas including robotics, artificial intelligence and computer and information engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of assigned teaching and research laboratories.
• Prepare laboratory experiments, demonstrations and supporting materials under faculty guidance.
• Maintain, calibrate and monitor laboratory equipment.
• Support laboratory classes, student projects and practical demonstrations.
• Troubleshoot equipment and technical issues and coordinate repairs when required.
• Maintain inventories, consumables and equipment records.
• Ensure laboratory safety procedures and relevant university requirements are followed.
• Assist faculty with development and improvement of laboratory activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate engineering, computing or related technical discipline.
• Practical laboratory experience relevant to computer and information engineering.
• Knowledge of robotics, AI, electronics, embedded systems or related technologies is beneficial.
• Strong troubleshooting, organization and communication skills.
• Ability to support students and faculty in a laboratory environment.
• UAE National eligibility is required for this position.
