Hygiene/ EHS Coordinator (Emiratisation Program)

Shangri-La Group is hiring a Hygiene/EHS Coordinator under its Emiratisation Program at Shangri-La Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi. The position supports the monitoring of hygiene, food safety and environmental health and safety practices across hotel operations. It provides an opportunity for an Emirati candidate to develop practical experience in quality assurance, compliance, risk management and hospitality safety.

The coordinator will assist operational departments with inspections, audits, documentation and awareness activities while helping ensure that hotel practices remain aligned with HACCP requirements, UAE regulations and corporate standards. Fresh graduates and candidates with limited experience are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring hygiene, food safety and EHS compliance across operational departments.
• Support internal audits, inspections and corrective-action programs in line with HACCP and UAE requirements.
• Maintain accurate hygiene, safety, inspection, training and compliance records.
• Coordinate or support awareness sessions covering hygiene, food safety, workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Communicate EHS-related observations and requirements to relevant operational teams.
• Help follow up corrective actions and maintain organized documentation for compliance activities.
• Support continuous-improvement initiatives relating to quality, safety and risk management.
• Assist senior colleagues with reports and departmental compliance activities as required.

Requirements

• UAE national candidate eligible for the Emiratisation Program.
• Basic knowledge of hygiene, food safety or EHS standards, or strong willingness to learn.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, reliable and committed to professional development.
