Human Resources Intern

The Marriott International internship opportunity provides current students with practical exposure to hotel operations while building workplace skills in a professional hospitality environment. The role is designed to complement classroom learning with hands-on experience, structured learning, collaboration with experienced associates and an understanding of Marriott service standards. Depending on the department, the intern supports day-to-day activities, maintains accurate records, communicates with colleagues and guests, and assists with assigned projects and operational tasks. The position is intended to provide meaningful exposure to the selected function and help the intern understand how that department contributes to the overall hotel experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the assigned department with daily operational and administrative activities.
• Assist associates with departmental projects, records, reports and routine follow-up.
• Learn and apply Marriott service, safety, confidentiality and workplace standards.
• Communicate professionally with team members and, where applicable, guests.
• Use relevant systems, office tools or departmental equipment under appropriate guidance.
• Maintain accurate documentation and complete assigned tasks within agreed timelines.
• Participate in training, meetings and learning activities relevant to the internship.
• Demonstrate reliability, teamwork, curiosity and willingness to learn.

Requirements

• Current college or university student, as required by Marriott's internship programme.
• Interest in hospitality and the functional area of the internship.
• Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural hotel environment.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn departmental systems.
• Professional appearance, confidentiality and commitment to workplace safety.
