Description
The Electrical Engineer supports building and infrastructure operations by coordinating inspections, planned maintenance and technical reporting. The role includes checking the daily operation of MEP systems, following up subcontractor maintenance and helping the project team maintain service records and handover documentation. The position requires a careful approach to electrical safety, compliance and operational continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend inspections and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance performed by subcontractors.
- Check MEP system operation regularly and identify conditions that may affect reliable service.
- Prepare daily, monthly, quarterly and annual maintenance or performance reports.
- Develop and update work schedules for planned MEP activities and follow up completion.
- Maintain PPM reports, schedules and third-party inspection certificates in an organised record system.
- Support the BMMS team during inspections and help prepare project handover documents.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A relevant electrical engineering qualification is suitable for the technical responsibilities of this position.
- Experience with electrical or MEP systems, facilities operations or maintenance coordination is beneficial.
- The candidate should understand inspection, testing and preventive-maintenance processes.
- Good reporting, record-keeping and communication skills are important.
- A safety-conscious approach and the ability to coordinate with subcontractors and site teams are required.
Skills and Competencies
Useful skills include electrical systems knowledge, MEP coordination, maintenance planning, inspection follow-up and technical reporting. The engineer should be attentive to operational risks, capable of organising work schedules and comfortable maintaining accurate records. Clear communication and a practical problem-solving approach are important for reliable building operations.
