Director of Physiotherapy

American Hospital Dubai is seeking a Director of Physiotherapy to provide clinical, operational and administrative leadership for its Physiotherapy Division. The role focuses on delivering patient-centered services, maintaining regulatory and accreditation standards, developing staff capability and supporting service growth. The successful candidate will help coordinate multidisciplinary care, monitor quality indicators and deputize for the Director when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily physiotherapy operations and support the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary collaboration among physicians, therapists and nursing teams.
• Support assessment, treatment planning, therapy implementation and follow-up across physiotherapy services.
• Maintain compliance with JCI accreditation standards and DHA regulatory requirements.
• Monitor quality indicators, review outcomes and implement improvement actions where required.
• Supervise, mentor and evaluate physiotherapy staff and support recruitment, orientation and training.
• Contribute to annual budgeting, staffing plans, activity reporting and efficient resource utilization.
• Support strategic service development and represent the division in committees and working groups.
• Act on behalf of the Director during absence while maintaining appropriate professional accountability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy.
• Master's Degree in Physiotherapy, Healthcare Administration or a related field preferred.
• DHA License or eligibility.
• Minimum seven years of progressive physiotherapy experience, including at least two years in supervision or management.
• Knowledge of healthcare quality, accreditation, staffing and departmental administration.
