Director – Governance, Arch. & Strategy (UAE National)

Emirates Global Aluminium is seeking a UAE National Director - Governance, Architecture & Strategy to lead the Digital Transformation Governance, Architecture and Strategy team. The role aligns digital-transformation strategy with EGA’s business strategy, manages governance budgets, implements digital-transformation policies, coordinates audits and oversees development of service-management models. It also supports continuous improvement in digital-transformation value generation, compliance and enterprise architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Digital Transformation Governance, Architecture and Strategy function.
• Develop and submit the Digital Transformation Governance departmental OpEx and CapEx budget.
• Monitor financial performance against budget and identify opportunities for cost reduction or performance improvement.
• Ensure product and service value can be measured and tracked across Product Service Lines.
• Develop, obtain approval for and oversee implementation of standard Digital Transformation policies, procedures and controls.
• Support definition of Digital Transformation performance objectives and KPIs aligned with EGA strategy.
• Lead definition and implementation of quality KPIs for continuous monitoring of service quality.
• Coordinate audits and support compliance requirements across Digital Transformation activities.
• Oversee development of Digital Transformation service-management models and enterprise-architecture direction.

Requirements

• UAE National, as stated in the listing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field; Master’s degree preferred or equivalent.
• Professional project-management qualification is preferable.
• Minimum 10 years of overall IT experience.
• At least 5 years in governance, architecture or IT strategy and at least 5 years in a senior management role.
• Experience developing and implementing IT strategies and policies and understanding IT service-management models and methodologies such as ITSM and agile.
• Strong financial management, leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Certifications such as CGEIT, TOGAF, ITIL, PMP, ISO20000 or ISO27001 are preferable.
