CAD Draftsman – AutoCAD & Basic Revit

A construction-sector company in Dubai is recruiting a CAD Draftsman to produce clear and accurate technical drawings for building projects. The role supports engineering, architectural and BIM colleagues by converting design information into practical drawing packages. The draftsman will prepare new drawings, update existing files when project details change and check that dimensions and annotations are consistent. Strong AutoCAD skills are essential, while basic Revit knowledge is needed to work effectively with coordinated design information and the wider project team.

This is a full-time vacancy requiring at least two years of CAD drafting experience in construction or building projects. The estimated salary is AED 4,500–7,000 per month.

Key Responsibilities

• Create 2D drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections and shop drawings for project use.
• Turn engineers’ and architects’ instructions into accurate technical drawings and documentation.
• Coordinate drawing information with engineering, architectural and BIM team members.
• Revise layouts and details when designs, site conditions or project instructions are updated.
• Check drawing dimensions, annotations, references and presentation before issuing revised files.
• Organise drawing folders and maintain clear records of current and superseded versions.

Requirements and Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of CAD drafting experience on construction or building projects.
• Confident use of AutoCAD and basic working knowledge of Revit.
• Experience producing construction drawings, shop drawings and technical documentation.
• Understanding of drafting conventions and drawing coordination procedures.
• Careful attention to detail and the ability to collaborate with engineers and architects.
