Description
Stars General Contracting Co. LLC is seeking a Civil Draftsman for construction and infrastructure work in Abu Dhabi. The draftsman will prepare technical drawings used by engineers and site teams, including shop drawings and as-built documentation. The position requires strong AutoCAD skills and the ability to revise drawings in response to engineering comments, approved changes and site information. The successful candidate should understand civil drafting practices, manage drawing revisions carefully and coordinate with engineers and surveyors to confirm the information needed for each issue.
This is a full-time vacancy for a candidate with approximately three to five or more years of civil drafting experience. The estimated monthly salary is AED 5,000–8,000.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare civil and infrastructure drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop shop drawings, as-built drawings and detailed layouts for construction activities.
- Update drawings based on engineers’ markups, approved revisions and site changes.
- Maintain drawing registers and apply revision control to issued documents.
- Coordinate with engineers, surveyors and site staff to confirm drawing requirements.
- Review dimensions, notes and drawing details before issuing updated files.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A Diploma or certificate in Civil Drafting, Civil Engineering or a related subject.
- Three to five or more years of civil drafting experience in construction.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Civil 3D knowledge is an advantage.
- UAE construction experience is preferred.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to meet project deadlines.
Role Details
The role calls for someone who can interpret technical instructions, keep drawing records under control and work closely with site and engineering personnel. Familiarity with infrastructure documentation and construction drawing workflows will be useful. Candidates should be able to maintain consistency across revisions and deliver drawings within project schedules.
