Associate Professor – Management Science & Engineering

Job Overview

Khalifa University is seeking an Associate Professor in Management Science & Engineering to contribute to teaching, research and academic service in areas related to engineering systems, operations, analytics and management. The position also supports strategic program development, accreditation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the strategic development of the Engineering Systems and Management program.
• Support program accreditation, assessment and continuous improvement.
• Help shape research priorities aligned with department and university objectives.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Engineering Systems and Management.
• Use project-based, case-based and data-driven learning approaches.
• Integrate modern analytical and digital decision-support tools into teaching.
• Prepare course materials, assessments and learning resources.
• Supervise graduate research, theses, senior design projects and industry projects.
• Conduct high-impact research and publish peer-reviewed outputs.
• Seek external funding and develop interdisciplinary and industry collaborations.
• Contribute to research centers, seminars, professional activities and academic service.

Requirements

• PhD or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant academic experience, including at least 5 years at Assistant Professor level or equivalent.
• Strong record of teaching, scholarship, graduate supervision and academic service.
• Experience with external funding, industry collaboration, curriculum development and accreditation is desirable.
