Assistant Team Leader

Support Personal Banking sales performance by acquiring customers, developing relationships and promoting banking products through corporate partnerships and direct sales channels. The role also helps coordinate day-to-day team activities and maintain sales delivery when the Team Leader is unavailable.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote credit cards, personal loans, payroll accounts and relevant cross-sell products within assigned markets.
• Meet agreed sales targets and business plans, while identifying opportunities across other business units.
• Organise corporate presentations, roadshows, group meetings and customer engagement activities to generate new business.
• Build long-term customer relationships and recommend suitable products based on customer needs.
• Follow customer-protection, regulatory, compliance and internal policy requirements, avoiding mis-selling or inaccurate commitments.
• Monitor market and competitor activity and recommend ways to improve acquisition and sales effectiveness.
• Act as the Team Leader’s delegate when required, help monitor team performance, support sales planning and coach colleagues through joint visits and on-the-job guidance.
• Track mandatory training, certifications and departmental deliverables and promote a collaborative, performance-focused culture.

Requirements and Qualifications

The listing seeks three to five years of relevant experience in banking, financial services or collections. Experience with regulated operations and UAE or GCC banking is advantageous.

Skills and Competencies

Strong sales ability, customer relationship management, team coordination, communication, coaching and ethical judgement are important. The candidate should be organised, commercially aware and able to maintain service quality while pursuing targets.
