Stock Coordinator

The Stock Coordinator manages the movement of merchandise between deliveries, the stockroom and the sales floor. The role focuses on accurate receiving, inspection, storage and record keeping so that products are available when needed, stock discrepancies are identified quickly and the store remains organised and secure.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive merchandise and count items physically and electronically to confirm that quantities are accurate.
• Inspect incoming products and report damaged goods or discrepancies to the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
• Classify and organise products in the stockroom according to procedures so that items can be located quickly.
• Tag new merchandise and process returns or transfers as instructed by senior colleagues.
• Replenish shelves and support sales staff in maintaining product availability throughout the day.
• Record stock moving into and out of the store and maintain clear inventory reports.
• Check missing price tags, help with stocktakes and report any security or stock-control concerns.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and follow safe handling practices when moving merchandise.

Requirements and Skills

• Good attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with stock records.
• Physical fitness for stockroom duties, including lifting items of at least 10 kg where required.
• Willingness to work extended hours during sales, festivals or other peak retail periods.
• Ability to follow procedures and communicate discrepancies promptly.
• A dependable, organised approach to stock security, cleanliness and team support.
