Description
The Allocator manages the end-to-end allocation and replenishment of Sports products across assigned stores. The role balances inventory with consumer demand, aiming to improve product availability, sell-through, and commercial results. It works closely with merchandising, buying, retail operations, and logistics teams to direct stock to the locations where it can perform best.
Key Responsibilities
- Allocate seasonal and core products according to store grading, space, sales potential, and assortment plans.
- Monitor daily and weekly sales, stock, and sell-through by store and SKU.
- Replenish high-performing stores and products while identifying slow-moving stock for transfers or consolidation.
- Review size selling, store profiles, and regional trends to refine size curves and pack ratios.
- Support new-store openings, refits, and closures with suitable stock packages and stock-clearance plans.
- Prepare allocation and inventory reports showing stock health, weeks of cover, and missed-sales risks.
- Coordinate allocation decisions with buying, merchandising, store operations, and logistics colleagues.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Relevant experience or capability in allocation, replenishment, merchandise planning, or retail inventory.
- Comfort analysing store-level sales, stock, sell-through, and size data.
- Ability to manage multiple stock priorities and work across teams.
- Strong attention to detail and spreadsheet/reporting skills.
