Driver – Heavy Vehicle

The Heavy Vehicle Driver transports goods between company facilities, customer locations, and distribution centres using commercial vehicles such as trucks or trailers. The role prioritises safe driving, secure cargo handling, punctual delivery, vehicle inspections, and accurate trip documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy vehicles safely on assigned delivery routes.
• Complete deliveries and pickups according to schedules and operational instructions.
• Inspect the vehicle before and after each trip and report mechanical or maintenance concerns.
• Secure cargo correctly to prevent damage, loss, or shifting during transport.
• Maintain accurate delivery paperwork, trip logs, and required records.
• Follow UAE traffic laws, company routing and loading procedures, and all road-safety rules.
• Keep the vehicle clean and assist with loading or unloading when required.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Two to three years of heavy-vehicle driving experience in the UAE.
• Valid Category 4 heavy-vehicle driving licence.
• Ability to inspect a vehicle, secure cargo, and identify issues that require attention.
• Reliable route discipline and safe handling of delivery documents and goods.
• Calm communication and good judgement when faced with delays or unexpected road conditions.
