Associate Vice President & Solution Architect

RAKBANK is seeking a Associate Vice President & Solution Architect for its banking operations in the United Arab Emirates. Job Overview

The Solution Architect shapes technology solutions that meet business, product and regulatory needs. The role establishes clear architecture, guides implementation teams and makes sure solutions are secure, scalable, maintainable and aligned with the bank’s technology direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Own solution design for assigned platforms and translate requirements into robust technical architectures.
• Assess application, integration, data and infrastructure options against business and technology constraints.
• Work with engineering, product, security, operations and business stakeholders to validate design choices.
• Consider reliability, performance, availability, security and maintainability throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Review designs, identify technical risks and guide teams through implementation and deployment.
• Maintain architecture documentation and promote reusable patterns and sound engineering practices.

Requirements and Qualifications

• A strong background in solution architecture, software engineering or enterprise application design is relevant.
• Banking-platform experience and familiarity with core banking systems such as Finacle are valuable for this role.
• Knowledge of integration patterns, APIs, security, data flows and non-functional requirements is useful.
• Candidates should be able to explain architectural trade-offs to both technical and business audiences.
