Ultrasound Technologist – Night Duty

American Hospital Dubai is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for night-duty operations within its Medical Imaging Department. The role involves performing a broad range of diagnostic ultrasound examinations while maintaining patient safety, image quality and departmental standards. The technologist will support emergency and scheduled imaging, collaborate with radiologists and contribute to quality improvement and education activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform requested ultrasound examinations according to hospital and Medical Imaging Department guidelines.
• Conduct examinations across OB/GYN, abdominal, small parts, vascular, neonatal, musculoskeletal and interventional areas.
• Assess procedure requirements and coordinate with radiologists to meet clinical and emergency imaging needs.
• Schedule patients, evaluate critical procedures and maintain accurate examination documentation.
• Follow patient identification, infection-control, equipment and imaging safety procedures.
• Participate in departmental quality improvement and education programs, meetings and unit projects.
• Assist with incident and accident follow-up and support appropriate resolution of patient concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized and hygienic ultrasound environment and ensure safe operation of equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Diagnostic Ultrasound, Sonography, Medical Imaging or Radiography, or an appropriate Ultrasound Diploma/Associate qualification.
• Active home-country registration and DHA License.
• Minimum two years of Ultrasound Technologist experience.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, medical terminology and imaging safety.
• Fluent English communication skills.
