Registered Nurse – Pediatric Oncology

Main Purpose of the Role

Key Responsibility Areas

• Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, aligned with clinical guidelines and legislative standards
• Administer chemotherapy, supportive treatments, and monitor pediatric oncology patients in accordance with protocols

• Identify, prevent, and manage clinical risks to ensure patient safety
• Adhere to institutional risk policies and relevant healthcare regulations

• Promote a therapeutic and empathetic environment to enhance the experiences of young patients and their families
• Practice family-centered care guided by nursing leadership and pediatric oncology best practices

• Support the development of nursing colleagues and students through supervision, mentoring, and clinical teaching
• Contribute to a continuous learning culture within the unit

Education Requirements

• Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution

Experience Requirements

• Essential: Minimum of 2 years’ current or recent experience in a pediatric oncology setting
• Desired: Prior experience within the UAE healthcare system

Skills and Knowledge Requirements

• Basic proficiency in spoken Arabic
• Strong knowledge of patient safety principles and oncology nursing standards
• Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to handle emotionally sensitive situations with professionalism and compassion
