Registered Nurse – Endoscopy

Main Purpose of the Role

To provide and coordinate patient-centered, evidence-based nursing care in support of interventional endoscopy procedures—ensuring alignment with ethical standards, professional guidelines, and regulatory requirements set by both the healthcare authority and the organization.

Key Responsibility Areas

Clinical Care Delivery

• Deliver high-quality nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, adhering to established clinical standards and healthcare legislation
• Actively participate in preparation, assistance, and recovery phases of interventional procedures such as ERCP

Patient Safety & Risk Management

• Identify, prevent, and manage clinical risks in accordance with internal policies and legal requirements
• Uphold best practices for infection control, sedation monitoring, and emergency response during procedures

Patient Experience

• Promote a positive patient journey by creating a safe and supportive environment
• Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and families, guided by nursing leadership standards

Mentorship & Staff Development

• Mentor junior nursing staff and supervise learners in alignment with clinical teaching standards
• Foster continuous learning within the team to enhance care quality and competence

Education Requirements

• Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution

Experience Requirements

• Essential: Minimum 2 years of recent experience in interventional endoscopy, including ERCP procedures
• Desired: Prior nursing experience in the UAE healthcare sector is advantageous

Skills and Knowledge Requirements

• Basic proficiency in spoken Arabic
• Strong working knowledge of patient safety standards and clinical risk management
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office and hospital IT systems
• Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English
