Description
Main Purpose of the Role
Deliver patient-centered, evidence-based primary care in accordance with professional ethics and the standards established by regulatory authorities and the organization. Ensure the effective management of clinical services while maintaining integrity and promoting continual development.Key Responsibility Areas
Clinical Services- Provide comprehensive, ethical, and high-quality clinical services to patients with professionalism and efficiency
- Address medical concerns across a broad range of patient needs and conditions within the scope of general practice
- Monitor, identify, and manage clinical risks associated with patient care
- Adhere to patient safety policies and participate in risk mitigation protocols
- Ensure all clinical practices align with internal governance policies and healthcare regulations
- Uphold standards for quality assurance and contribute to continuous improvement
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of medical records, treatment plans, and patient interactions
- Ensure data is recorded in compliance with legal and institutional guidelines
- Engage in ongoing professional learning and encourage development among peers and junior staff
- Support teaching and clerkship programs for medical students and junior colleagues
- Deliver care with honesty, responsibility, and respect for patient confidentiality
- Align clinical decision-making with ethical principles and best practices
Education Requirements
- Essential: Basic Medical Degree recognized by the UAE healthcare authority
- Additional Qualification: Diploma or specialty training recognized by the UAE regulatory authority
- Certifications: Active and valid life support certification (BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, or NRP)
- Desired: Specialty-specific certifications related to primary care
Experience Requirements
- Essential: 2–3 years’ experience in a specialized department within a private hospital setting
- Desired: Consultant-level experience from a Tier 1 country as specified by the UAE healthcare regulatory body
Skills and Knowledge
- Ability to support and supervise medical student clerkships and junior doctors
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
- Strong understanding of clinical audit procedures and governance frameworks
- Effective written and verbal communication in English; Arabic language skills are advantageous
- Professional demeanor with a focus on patient experience and service excellence
