Assistant Nurse – OPD

Main Purpose of the Role

To provide and coordinate patient-centric, evidence-based nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, ensuring adherence to professional and ethical standards as defined by regulatory bodies and the organization.

Key Responsibility Areas

Clinical Care Delivery

• Deliver high-quality nursing care under supervision, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
• Follow established clinical protocols and legislative guidelines to support patient well-being in the outpatient setting

Patient Safety and Risk Management

• Identify, prevent, and manage risks in accordance with MCME clinical risk policies and procedures
• Adhere to safety regulations and contribute to a culture of vigilance in patient care

Patient Experience

• Promote a supportive and healing environment to enhance the patient experience
• Uphold service excellence as guided by nursing leadership and organizational standards

Professional Development and Support

• Contribute to a learning culture by supporting the training and development of team members
• Participate in mentorship programs, in-service education, and performance feedback initiatives

Education Requirements

• Essential: Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution

Experience Requirements

• Essential: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Outpatient Department (OPD) setting
• Desired: Prior UAE healthcare experience is an advantage

Skills and Knowledge Requirements

• Familiarity with outpatient nursing protocols and documentation
• Understanding of infection control and patient safety standards
• Ability to work effectively within a team under direct supervision
• Basic computer literacy and ability to use clinical IT systems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Arabic language skills are beneficial
