The Fitness & Wellness Instructor supports guests who wish to maintain or improve their wellbeing during their hotel stay. Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and explain fitness or wellness facilities, schedules and available services.
- Deliver or assist with exercise sessions suited to participant needs and abilities.
- Demonstrate safe use of equipment and encourage correct exercise technique.
- Monitor the activity area and maintain clean, safe and organised facilities.
- Respond to guest questions and communicate any health or safety concerns appropriately.
- Keep session information and routine facility checks up to date.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Fitness or wellness instruction experience and relevant professional certification; ability to deliver safe, engaging sessions is important.
- Recognised fitness or wellness certification is important.
- Knowledge of exercise safety, basic first aid and equipment use is beneficial.
- Strong communication and customer service skills are required.
Skills and Personal Attributes
The role calls for enthusiasm, patience and the ability to motivate guests respectfully. Clear instruction, observation, professionalism and an understanding of different fitness levels are important. Relevant working knowledge of the assigned department and the ability to follow established procedures will help the successful candidate contribute from the start.
