Chief Concierge

The Chief Concierge leads the concierge function and helps ensure guests receive informed, personalised assistance throughout their stay. The position combines team leadership with destination knowledge, service recovery and coordination of guest arrangements. It requires a strong understanding of the local area and the ability to anticipate needs while maintaining a high standard of hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead concierge colleagues and organise daily coverage, priorities and service standards.
• Assist guests with local information, transport, dining, shopping and activity recommendations.
• Coordinate special arrangements, requests and experiences with internal teams and external providers.
• Handle complex enquiries and service concerns with discretion and effective follow-up.
• Maintain useful destination information and ensure recommendations are accurate and current.
• Coach colleagues and monitor the quality and consistency of concierge service.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Significant concierge or guest services experience, strong local destination knowledge and the ability to lead a guest-facing team are valuable.
• Previous team leadership or supervisory experience is beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of the local destination, transport and guest services.
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.

The successful candidate is resourceful, confident and guest-focused, with sound judgement and a strong service network. Leadership, discretion and the ability to manage changing requests are important. Relevant working knowledge of the assigned department and the ability to follow established procedures will help the successful candidate contribute from the start.
