OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR (TRANS & DIST)

Supervise gas transmission and distribution through control stations, pipelines, metering systems, manifolds and let-down stations. The position protects continuous, safe and efficient supply to customers by monitoring system performance, coordinating maintenance response and ensuring operational procedures are followed.

The role requires collaboration across relevant teams, accurate documentation and early escalation of risks that may affect safety, quality or delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor central master-control stations, pipeline management systems and metering operations.
• Supervise distribution through stations and associated pipelines and respond to reported equipment or system faults.
• Coordinate maintenance of SCADA and pipeline monitoring systems to reduce outages and service interruptions.
• Promote safe work practices and compliance with operating regulations and approved procedures.
• Coordinate staff, priorities and resources and communicate operational issues that may affect downstream customers.

Requirements and Experience

• At least ten years in the hydrocarbon-processing industry, including three years in a supervisory position, is required.
• Experience with gas pipelines, distribution stations, SCADA, metering or pipeline monitoring is relevant.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal communication and forward-looking problem-solving skills are important.

Qualifications

BSc degree, preferably in Chemical Engineering
