Hostess – Vendome (All day dining)

The Hostess at Vendome, the all-day dining venue at Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi, is responsible for welcoming guests and coordinating seating according to reservations and guest preferences. The role also supports telephone bookings, restaurant presentation, guest-history records and communication of guest feedback.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare table-top items and the hostess desk before service.
• Coordinate the seating plan with the reservation book and Restaurant Manager requirements.
• Welcome guests courteously and seat them according to restaurant standards and preferences.
• Assist with service when required by restaurant management.
• Handle telephone bookings and guest enquiries accurately and professionally.
• Keep restaurant management informed of guest comments and complaints.
• Complete closing procedures and ensure table-top items are collected and cleaned.
• Maintain clean menus, drinks lists and guest collateral.
• Support maintenance of guest-history records.
• Attend briefings, communication meetings and training sessions.
• Maintain a neat uniform and high standards of personal grooming and hygiene.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the same role in a luxury hotel is preferred.
• Resort experience is an advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong customer-service and professional attitude.
• Additional language skills are a plus.
