Hostess – Sand & Koal

The Hostess at Sand & Koal welcomes restaurant guests and coordinates seating according to reservations, preferences and Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental standards. The position also supports telephone enquiries, restaurant presentation, guest-history records, service assistance and communication of guest feedback to restaurant management.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare table-top items and the hostess desk before opening and service.
• Coordinate the seating plan with the reservation book and restaurant management requirements.
• Welcome and seat guests courteously according to luxury-service standards.
• Assist restaurant service when requested by management.
• Handle telephone bookings and enquiries accurately and professionally.
• Communicate guest comments and complaints to the Restaurant Manager and Assistant Restaurant Manager.
• Complete closing procedures and ensure table-top items are collected and cleaned.
• Keep menus, drinks lists and guest collateral clean and undamaged.
• Assist in maintaining guest-history records.
• Attend communication meetings, briefings and training sessions.
• Maintain clean uniform, professional grooming and hygiene throughout service.

Candidate Profile

• Previous restaurant-hostess experience is useful for the role.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Professional, guest-focused attitude.
• Ability to work effectively during busy restaurant service periods.
• Good organization and attention to detail.
