The Barista position is designed for a team member who can contribute reliably to the hotel’s daily operation. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare espresso-based drinks, brewed coffee, tea and other menu beverages according to established recipes.
- Operate and clean coffee machines, grinders and related tools, reporting faults promptly.
- Welcome guests, explain menu options and confirm customisations before preparing orders.
- Process orders and payments accurately, using the point-of-sale system and approved cash-handling procedures.
- Maintain clean counters, beverage stations, utensils and guest-facing areas throughout each shift.
- Monitor milk, coffee, syrups and other supplies, rotating stock and notifying supervisors when replenishment is needed.
- Coordinate with service colleagues to manage queues and deliver orders in a timely manner.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience in a café, hotel or comparable beverage-service setting is helpful.
- Candidates should demonstrate careful preparation, cleanliness and a welcoming service approach.
- Basic numerical accuracy and confidence using order or payment systems are useful.
- Availability for a rostered on-site schedule and teamwork during busy periods are expected.
