Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Learning & Development Specialist to lead and grow our Tech Academy initiative. In this role, you will drive strategic learning programs, manage digital learning platforms, and embed a forward-thinking, agile learning culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic direction and delivery of ADCB’s Tech Academy, driving innovation in learning and development.
  • Manage and continuously improve the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure it supports scalable, organization-wide learning.
  • Champion a culture of agility, innovation, and continuous improvement within the learning function.
  • Design and deploy toolkits and learning journeys to support the adoption of new technologies, platforms, and business processes.
  • Drive and deliver strategic innovation-led learning programs in partnership with internal stakeholders.
  • Work closely with business leaders to assess learning needs aligned with organizational goals and translate these into effective development plans.
  • Oversee the design and delivery of learning solutions using modern instructional design practices and appropriate delivery methods (e.g., blended learning, digital learning, workshops).
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on the effectiveness of learning interventions, using insights to optimize future programs.
  • Provide expert consultation to stakeholders on current and emerging learning needs within their teams or departments.
  • Manage relationships with external training partners and consultants, ensuring consistent quality, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with the Bank’s standards.

Candidate Profile

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Professional certification in L&D, such as ATD (CPLP) or CIPD (CTP), or an equivalent qualification.

Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a Learning & Development function within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, training evaluation models, and instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
  • Proven experience in learning program design, project management, and digital learning platforms.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and change management skills.
  • Strong communication and facilitation abilities, with attention to detail and a strategic mindset.
