Painter- FM

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint and finishes to various materials such as walls, wood, steel structures, and more. This role requires hands-on expertise in painting techniques, surface preparation, and a keen eye for quality. The painter will ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standard, while also providing support for other general maintenance duties as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, and prime surfaces including walls, wood, metal, and drywall to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Painting & Finishing: Apply paints, varnishes, stains, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Color Matching & Mixing: Mix and match paint colors to meet specified tones and textures.
• Touch-ups & Repairs: Address chips, scratches, peeling, and general wear on painted surfaces.
• Tool & Material Management: Maintain, clean, and properly store painting tools and supplies; manage paint and material inventory.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all workplace safety protocols, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of chemicals and tools.
• Quality Control: Inspect completed work for quality, uniformity, and finish consistency; correct any deficiencies.
• Support Tasks: Assist other departments with additional tasks such as material shifting, equipment cleaning, and basic maintenance work when necessary.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Proven experience as a professional painter in commercial, industrial, or residential environments.
• Skilled in handling various materials: wood, steel, drywall, concrete, etc.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.
• Familiarity with different painting methods and equipment.
• Good understanding of safety regulations and chemical handling protocols.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety procedures.
• Physically fit with the ability to work in interior and exterior environments.
• Flexible, dependable, and willing to support additional maintenance tasks as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational training or certification in painting is a plus.
